Pete HeyhoeMy Japan Experience by Pete Heyhoe

I'm having a great time here.  While there are many strange and unexpected aspects to Japan, it is a very easy country to adjust to.

Amity is a very fair and professional company to work for.  From the time I stepped off the plane, they have been helpful and caring at every level.  The schools are well organised and well run.  This, along with the absolutely wonderful kids I get to teach, have made my working life in Japan a real pleasure.

It's great.  It's challenging and different without being overwhelming.  The trains run on time to the second, the streets are safe and clean, and the local people are extremely polite and caring.  The food is great, and with the exception of the $100 melons, surprisingly well priced—although you can expect to run into mystery meat once in a while.  There's plenty of free time during the year to travel or relax.  Overall, it's very comfortable living here and I'm enjoying every day of it.
