Your Apartment
All Amity teachers are provided with a single, furnished apartment. Given that the apartments are all fully furnished, teachers only need to bring personal items and clothes to begin their life in Japan. The staff at the school prepares the apartment for each individual teacher prior to their arrival in Japan. The key money and deposits are paid by Amity, who then acts as a landlord for the teacher. |
Each
apartment differs according to location, but typically
they are all six tatami mat (approximately 100 square
feet) in size. Methods of commute from the apartment
to the branch school include walking, by bicycle, by
bus, and by train.

Usually the apartments are located in a residential area, and there is often a supermarket or a 24-hour convenience store nearby. Amity takes into consideration the advantages of choosing apartments that are conveniently located to the branch school and public transportation as well as other places of interest to the teachers. Apartments are often located near train stations, restaurants, bookstores, cinemas, sport gyms, and parks in order for teachers to best utilize their free time. |
