Amity Philosophy Amity Philosophy
  1. Amity accounts for the age, growth, and individuality of each of our students. Because of this, we are able to offer the most effective lessons, as well as help students discover the fun and excitement of communicating in English.
  2. Amity teaches the fundamentals of English communication, (vocabulary, key sentence and question patterns) to allow students to first learn with a natural expression. Amity has constructed a dynamic method to ascertain the full scope of English by offering students critical grammar instruction through our Regular courses in tandem with the learning of essential communication competence through our Practical course offerings.
  3. Amity's assessment of students is comprehensive. We focus on these four pillars for every age group: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  4. Amity's ultimate goal is to inspire students to succeed beyond their dreams of mastering the language, so that they may begin to envision English as a limitless tool to discover the world.
Curriculum ? Practical Course
Amity constantly researches and tests the most current EFL (English as a Foreign Language) curriculum created specifically for Japanese children. Through this research, Amity has corralled the most effective learning tools so that the teachers may tailor their courses to best suit the needs of their students.
Textbooks ? Practical Course
Teaching children requires bright, colorful, interesting and interactive teaching materials. Our textbooks are chosen with the goal of teaching students through the use of exciting activities, songs, and practical and interesting target language. We want students to pursue their learning outside of the classroom so we select textbooks that include audio reinforcement activities, flashcards and workbooks so students can continue improving at home. We feel that studying at Amity is essential for our students' fundamental learning process but that it is only a springboard for the learning they may continue outside of the classroom. It is the goal of Amity to inspire students to the point that they will yearn to continue practicing at home.
Interactive Learning
Amity has recently enhanced their curriculum with a computer interactive course offering the latest in EFL teaching materials. Students may take interactive courses to supplement their conversation classes so that they are able to acquire English in an exciting new way. In this course, students have the opportunity to send email to native English speakers, allowing them to practice the language they learned in class as well as make some new friends. The interactive course is another example of Amity's continued pursuit of giving our students the very best, every day.
