Visa Application Amity will arrange for a Japanese work visa on behalf of successful applicants. Upon approval, teachers will be issued the visa from an Embassy or Consulate of Japan in their home country. Teachers need to book their flights long before the visa is issued.
New teachers are met at the airport by Amity's Foreign Teacher trainers. They then proceed to our Amity training center in Okayama, Japan for a week of educational and cultural training. The Amity initial training is the official beginning of a teachers contract and Amity covers all transportation and accommodation expenses for the week of training until you arrive at your school. During initial training, teachers will meet other new Amity teachers and begin to explore their new country while engaging in the process of becoming a great Amity teacher. This is an important time of growth as well as developing new life-long friendships.
All representatives at the Amity recruiting offices will be able to answer questions regarding the process of securing a visa, but if you have any particular concerns or further visa questions, please direct them to an Embassy or Consulate of Japan.
